About me

My Story

Since the age of thirteen I have hoped to become a teacher.  Immediately after graduating from high school, I entered the Integrated Teacher Education Program (Freshmen Option) at California State University Northridge. In May 2011, I graduated from CSUN with my BA in Liberal Studies, a minor in Mathematics, and a preliminary teaching credential.  In December 2015, I cleared my teaching credential while enrolled in the UCLA Extension program. The teacher education programs I completed focused on using theoretical framework to aid one’s instructional design.  I have learned how to effectively incorporate a combination of ideas behind Bloom’s Taxonomy of high order thinking, Lev Vygotsky’s zone of proximal development, and SDAIE strategies.  Possessing this knowledge is valuable and is critical in developing students’ knowledge and abilities.

Why am I here?

I am driven to help students reach their full potential.

How will I do this?

I will create engaging lessons and make connections with my students and their families.

What will be the result?

I hope to create a community of life long learners who are supported by their family.
